Andy Parisien, Director of Music, Contemporary Service |
Andy was one of the original members of the worship band when Churchill Meadows Christian Church (CMCC) was founded in September of 2001. (I can hear the theme music to the movie “2001: A Space Odyssey” playing in the background – DA-DA-DA—TADA). An old Boy Scout from North Bay, Ontario, Andy moved to Toronto in 1971 to expand his musical career. It is through the music industry that he met singer, Donna Jovkovic. Since he couldn’t pronounce her last name (Yove-kove-itch), he asked her to marry him and changed it to Parisien…oooooh…the rest is history. As a musical husband/wife team, they were blessed with the opportunity to record several albums including one called “Pass [it] On” - a compilation of good old traditional hymns mixed in with some original songs, as well as some foot-stompin’ Southern Gospel. The title track expresses one of their deep-felt sentiments, “If the Lord’s been good to you, pass it on.’ “The most important thing I’ve learned over the years is that God has gifted each one of us in very unique and special ways. We honor Him by developing and using these precious gifts in serving Him and others. It is central to why He created us.” …..Andy “I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.” Psalm 69:30 |

Wendy Nasson, Director of Small Groups |
Wendy visited Churchill Meadows for the first time on the opening day, September 2001. From that moment, Churchill Meadows became "her church". She brought with her a thriving Singles Ministry, which continued to grow, until shortly after, she met her now husband, Peter. They have two children now named Cooper and Keira. Wendy's primary focus is leading the small group ministry, but also dabbles in social events, women's ministry and helping members to discover and use their spiritual gifts at CMCC. Wendy was born and raised in the GTA, growing up on a farm, feeding chickens and bailing hay. No more of that, now that she married "city boy" from Montreal ! Now, her vacations have moved from fishing and camping to sight seeing and staying at 5 star hotels. She also enjoys renting a cottage for a week, and relaxing with her family. |
